All I ever wanted was a choice. Now I’m forced to make the biggest choice of my life. Do I betray the man who saved my life? Or do I trust the man I love?

On the hunt for the largest score anyone’s heard of, Edwina Rodriguez, quartermaster aboard the Damnation is fighting against everyone in her life—her mutinous captain, her savvy best friend, and the charming captain of a rival ship.

If she can keep the past where it belongs, fight off bloodthirsty pirates and stay the course, Edwina could become the Princess of Sea & Gold.

In Princess of Sea & Gold, debut author L.E Ratahi brings adventure on the high seas and beneath the tropical sun of the Bahamas in a rousing pirate tale.

Reviews

This was a really great action adventure, it was what I was hoping for from the description. It does a great job in telling the story and creating the world. The characters did a great job in being interesting and worked in the universe. I enjoyed the way L. E Ratahi wrote this and can't wait to read more.

Princess of Sea & Gold delivers a classic pirate story filled with treasure, love, and betrayal. This story has incredibly good bones and I adored the prose of the author; I felt as if I were on the ship alongside Ed during the raging storms and in every seedy and ale-soaked tavern. Anyone who loves tales about pirates will enjoy this one. I really enjoyed Ed's softer side and the overall relationships between the characters. She was understandably slow to trust those around her, given her past, and the relationships are complex and compelling.

As the child of a soldier and homemaker, L.E Ratahi was lucky enough to grow up across the beautiful islands of New Zealand, moving every other year between military camps.

Her imagination led her to put pen to paper, creating new places and interesting characters. She takes inspiration from her childhood spent beside the sea and the rural landscape of the South Island where she currently lives.

In her spare time, she adds to her flourishing library and four-legged friends. She enjoys watching movies from the 1930's and 40's, and dreaming up new adventures.
